Experiencing Loss

Jordan Dafnis

"For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21

Yesterday we learned that one of our artisan's mothers past away.

With such a tremendous loss we can only find peace and hope knowing our Savior has conquered the world and also the grave. (1 Corinthians 15:55-57) We must fully rely on God for strength in our weakness in order to remain unshaken by the unknown. (Exodus 15:2)

We are here on earth made with the purpose of doing the Lord's work in order to spend eternity in heaven with Christ! How amazing is that? In times of heartache and stress these promises of eternity in heaven can act as a light. No matter how hard things get, we have a God who loves us more than we could ever imagine. He knows everything about us and will never leave us. Remember this when your heart is feeling heavy and remember to lift everything up to God.

Instead of being sad, we can be joyful because we know that heaven is having a party in celebration of Camitha's mom!

Camitha is one of our young artisans who uses her earnings to help her family. We ask that you would please keep Camitha in your prayers as she goes through this time of mourning. If you click on the Meetourartisans link you can send Camitha a prayer and an encouraging message.

"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him." 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
