"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Have you spent any time today reflecting with God and thanking him for all of the blessings you have recieved? Or have you been caught up in all of life's chaos and difficulties?
THE STRUGGLE IS REAL when it comes to appreciating all the good things we have during times when we are busy or facing serious trials. But having a positive and grateful attitude is a choice we can make. We know we have a loving God who has overcome all of the brokenness and struggles of this world. We just need to trust his plan and find the good in every situation.
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
Have you ever noticed that when you go into a situation with a negative mindset 9-times-out-of-10 you have a negative experience? Your thoughts really do play into the outcomes of situations. If you expect good things from God he will provide.
"And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him." 1 John 5:14-15
That is not to say life will always be perfect. Our God is a God of love. In order to have true love you must have freedom. And in order to have freedom you must have pain. God has a greater purpose for us beyond what we can see. So even though we endure pain and suffering on the earth we can be joyful knowing that heaven is perfect and one day we will make it home.
Begin each day with prayer and share your gratitude with God. Just let him know you are thankful to have a place on the earth today. Then go out and share your joy and positivity with those around you. Soon you will see a change in your heart and in your life.
"This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
