ila joi is a faith-based, handcrafted jewelry and accessories brand that is committed to empowering Haitian women to realize their God given talents in order to earn a sustainable income to provide for their families. Created by Hope. Powered by Prayer. Made in Haiti.
You can support Haitian artisans with ila joi in many ways:
1) Buy jewelry! What we have available in our online shop is just a fraction of what we have available for sale. If we've left you wanting MORE, Contact Us and we would be more than happy to send you your own handcrafted selection.
ila joi also has a boutique open for business 3 days-a-week in Kenscoff, Haiti. We would absolutely love for you to see firsthand what we do and to meet each of our artisans! Learn more about joining a Chances for Children mission team here.
2) Host an ila joi party. Not only do ila joi parties allow you to show-off your culturally-aware fashion sense, it is also a HUGE way that we, as ila joi and our supporters, spread the joy & purpose of our mission! If you are interested in hosting an ila joi party please contact email@example.com.
3) We are always accepting supplies & donations of any jewelry-making-sorts. These include (but are certainly not limited to) paper cutters, glue, water-proof jewelry varnish, accessory beads, etc. Please Contact Us if you have blessings to share with our artisans!
Chances for Children is an organization with the mission "to provide hope for the children of Haiti". One very important aspect of that mission is giving children the opportunity to thrive in their birth families by empowering the mothers to earn a sustainable income. This dream for Chances for Children was achieved through ila joi when local women were trained to make handcrafted jewelry. These women are the heart of ila joi and their busy hands & songs of praise are only possible through the support & encouragement of Chances For Children, along with their commitment to showing God's love in action & in truth in Kenscoff, Haiti.
